SUPERCOMPUTER JOINT VENTURE
Australia is to gain its second commercial supercomputer facility following the launch of a CSIRO joint venture with the Queensland Government last week. The joint venture, Queensland Supercomputing Laboratories, is expected to cost between $13 million and $20 million by the time it is fully running in early 1992. The initiative is being funded by the Queensland Government but will have its operating costs met by the CSIRO. Read more
