Consignment inspection sampling made easy
Many systems approach-based protocols include an “inspect and reject” measure to minimise the risk that infested produce is included in a consignment.
The International Plant Protection Convention provides a standard for methodologies for sampling of consignments (ISPM 31), which includes a look-up table to guide the correct sampling rate to verify compliance with the phytosanitary requirements of an importing country.
This interactive calculator makes the look-up table easier to navigate. Simply set the relevant levels across key parameters:
- % level of detection
- Efficacy of detection
- Required confidence level
And the calculator will automatically generate the minimum sample size.
