Data: National bushfire boundary data

Bushfire boundary data or burnt area data tells us where, when and how frequently fire has occurred.

National bushfire boundary data can be used for effective response coordination and informed decision-making to mitigate and manage future bushfire risks at a national level.

The data are available nationally, to governments, industry and the general public.

Geoscience Australia (GA) in collaboration with the Emergency Management Spatial Information Network Australia (EMSINA) is leading the Australian Climate Service funded National Bushfire Intelligence Capability project to produce spatial products that will harmonise authoritative bushfire boundaries into standardised national formats.
