SYD Hardware Day – Spark Festival 2019

October 28th, 2019

Hardware is not for everyone, but everyone in Hardware will be here!

Calling all Hardware founders, funders and friends – this half-day event has something for everyone!

Saturday 26th October 2019 saw the collaboration of Hardware tech come together at INCUBATE, Sydney University for a fantastic Spark Festival 2019 Event. The morning kicked off with a wonderful panel of seasoned Hardware startups discussing How to Launch a Product:  From Bootstrapping to Made to Order (and everything in-between). This was hosted and coordinated by Elyse Daniels.

Next Omar Najjar and Sayee Ganjekar from Innovation Drive facilitated the Spark Innovation Workshop:  The Invention Game. Participants divided into groups to “roll the innovation dice” which generated unique combinations of product development themes. This SPARKED group discussion and brainstorming to put together a pitch for a new innovation!

The morning was rounded off by the Lindfield Collaboration Hub’s Hardware World Cafe.

A “World Café” (according to Wikipedia) is a structured conversational process for knowledge sharing in which groups of people discuss a topic at several tables, with individuals switching tables periodically and getting introduced to the previous discussion at their new table by a “table host”

Katie Green assembled nine experts to explore a specific question or topic from the Hardware Eco System. Attendees nominated which table topic they would like to visit and away we went! Have questions? We have the answers.
