Partnering to Build Australia’s Space Industry – April 2019
Earlier this year, it was announced that the SmartSat CRC will be given Federal Government Funding to the value of $55 million to foster the creation of next-generation space technologies and professions, and make Australia more competitive in the global space economy. Having established a headquarters in Adelaide, South Australia, the SmartSat CRC’s 99 industry and research partners include 13 global companies, 20 Australian companies, 17 universities and more than 40 start-ups.
CSIRO is a partner of this initiative, and the CCEO will have a significant role to play under Research Program 3: Next Generation EO Data Services. Stay tuned for updates.
