Synopsis

In this talk I will give an overview of the increasingly complex patenting and licensing landscapes for CRISPR. I will provide a couple of case studies and propose a management strategy for CRISPR-related IP generated at CSIRO.

Bio

Kerry has a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan, and did a postdoc in infectious disease at the University of Washington. She then became a registered Patent Agent in the US before moving to Australia, where she completed a Masters of Intellectual Property and embarked upon on a career in IP management at CSIRO. Kerry is the Team Leader for Food and Agriculture, Health and Biosecurity, Land and Water, and Oceans and Atmosphere. She personally looks after the Health and Biosecurity patent portfolio.
