  • Can you tell us about your research area?

Machine learning and artificial intelligence have gained much attention from academia and industries. In the light of growing competencies, federated learning is introduced as a variation of distributed machine learning that maintains local data security and high performance under data heterogeneous environments. My research focuses on smart-contract driven federated machine learning software architecture that utilises blockchain technology to automate the processes of federated learning systems while enforcing system accountability.

What is your highlight working with the Architecture and Analytics Platforms research group?

I am proud to be part of the Architecture and Analytics Platforms research group. The research works that we do is highly engaging from not only the research point-of-view, but also tightly-coupled into the real-world industries.

What are your top 3 research expertise?

    1. Federated Learning

    2. Artificial Intelligence

    3. Blockchain

What made you apply for a scholarship with CSIRO’s Data61?

This scholarship has given me the opportunity to join the most renowned research institute in Australia.

Why do you like working at CSIRO’s Data61?

What I like the most is the opportunity to learn and work with some of the brightest experts from different professional backgrounds. High technology facilities and a great working environment.

What are your plans after completing your PhD?

I plan to continue my research work in federated learning and artificial intelligence after I completed my PhD. Hence, it would be great if I can join CSIRO Data61 as a postgraduate researcher/scientist after the completion of my PhD.
