  • Can you tell us about your research area?

My area of research is physical layer security. I studied the employment of friendly jamming nodes against adaptive eavesdropping.

I submitted my thesis in June 2020, and already have three papers from my research.

What would you say are your three key specialties?

Wireless communications, physical layer security, information theoretic security.

How have you grown during your PhD scholarship?

I've had the opportunity to understand mathematical modelling of wireless medium and node analysis. Working with four supervisors, and taking part in collaborative challenges with other PhD students helped me understand team work and various perspectives.

I've also gained insight into how to present my work to people from other research expertise.

My key success is finding the beauty of maths and the joy of working in team.

Why did you choose to apply for a scholarship with Data61?

Based on CSIRO's reputation, and the opportunity to meet other students from various research fields.

What would you say is the highlight of your time with Data61 thus far?

The opportunity of meeting other students and discussing our research and PhD lives. The environment is friendly and educative.

    What's next for you?

    Seeking postdoc and academic opportunities.
