Tell us a bit about yourself....

Originally from Belgium, I moved to Australia more than 10 years ago. I’m married (celebrated 30 years with my husband last year, don’t do the maths to figure out how old I am...). I have a cat, Lily, who is really precious, and just made a big move from Adelaide CBD to the beach, 45 minutes from the city centre. Since I graduated from University I worked in Education and Training, managing training companies, developing VET training standards/packages (for Defence and Public Safety), doing industry engagement or managing CRC Education and Training program. I also worked a lot in quality management and policy for training companies.

How long have you worked for Data61 and why do you like working here?

I joined Data61 with a team of 7 other colleagues from Data to Decisions CRC almost 2 years ago and it’s been really exciting to build up the Adelaide site altogether. I found in SCS a great group with great people to work with and feel really grateful about that.

What is the most valuable thing you've learned while working for Data61?

I learned so many new things, creating and maintaining a website, navigating through the arcanes of a big organisation, ... but working remotely has been a challenge and a great skill to build upon at the same time.

Top three professional skills.... People skills, organisational skills, natural prodder.

What is the one contribution you've made to SCS that you're most proud of?

Receiving feedback from colleagues that they can't imagine the team without me.

What is the one thing you hope people would remember about you?

I would love them to remember me as someone who got things done well and fast and was a real team player.
