Welcome to the Sixth Wave Alliance!
What is the Sixth Wave Alliance?
The Sixth Wave Alliance (SWA) unites Australian organisations across the industry, research and government sectors to promote and facilitate the adoption and creation of robotics and automation technology for the benefit of Australia.
The Alliance was proposed by CSIRO Data61 and it became official in a meeting held at the Australian Technology Park in Eveleigh, NSW, in May this year.
Why was it created?
The central idea behind the alliance is the understanding that there needs to be a combined effort to further develop the creation, adoption and promotion of robotics and autonomation technology in Australia.
Who are your members?
Our member organisations include CSIRO Data61, AlphaBeta, Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, METSIgnited, NERA (National Energy Resources Australia), Australian Centre for Robotic Vision QUT, University of Sydney Australian Centre for Field Robotics, University of Queensland and Woodside.
Governance structure, membership opportunities and additional details pertaining to the operation of SWA are currently under discussion.
Can I get involved?
The Sixth Wave Alliance is open to expressions of interest from new member organisations.
Get in touch if you want to be involved.
