Kabuati is the Principal Agricultural Officer with the Kiribati Agriculture and Livestock Division and is involved with the National Project Counterpart. He is based in Tarawa, Kiribati.

Kabuati coordinates the activities of the Soil management in Pacific Islands project in Kiribati. Project activities include conducting field trials to better understand soil fertility dynamics and irrigation in cropping systems. This information can enhance soil knowledge and provide a reliable foundation for sustainable intensification of agricultural in Kiribati.
