Short Bio
Thilina Ranbaduge is a Research Scientist at Data61-CSIRO, Australia,
and an Honorary Lecturer in School of Computing at the Australian National University (ANU). He received his PhD in Computer Science from the Australian National University in 2018, and his PG-Diploma in Computer Science and BSc (Hons) in Information Technology from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, in 2013 and 2009, respectively.
Thilina recently co-authored the book Linking Sensitive Data – Methods and Techniques for Practical Privacy-Preserving Information Sharing. In this book we describe advanced techniques and concepts for linking sensitive databases using privacy-preserving methods. Check out our book companion web site: https://dmm.anu.edu.au/lsdbook2020/.
Thilina is particularly interested in:
- Private graph analytics,
- Privacy risk and vulnerability assessment in data,
- Privacy preserving techniques for data integration and mining, and
- Privacy in health and population informatics.
