Project summary description:
AMSL Aero is designing a hydrogen powered electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle (Vertiia). It is in development for casualty evacuation, cargo and passenger applications. The prototype is remotely piloted and zero emissions. This project will take that prototype and develop it further as an autonomous firefighting drone. This includes developing firefighting operating concepts for eVTOL aircraft, integration of water tanks, continued development of autonomy systems, regulatory approvals and conduct of flight tests.
