Project summary description:
This project aims to develop a stand-alone zero-gap photoelectrochemical electrolyser for ammonia generation from aqueous nitrate solution, driving by a tandem perovskite/silicon photocathode with cocatalysts. Anticipated outcomes encompass innovative engineering strategies to enhance sunlight absorption, minimize resistance, and achieve highly selective ammonia production, ultimately leading to a scaling-up electrolyser prototype.
