Project description

The project proponent has undertaken a feasibility study to examine the possibility of displacing fossil-fuel sourced electricity production to remote communities/mining operations through power supplied by renewable hydrogen. The study was completed in the first part of 2021. The outcomes of the study are being evaluated to chart the next stages of project evaluation.

Milestones

January 2020: The feasibility study for this project is one of seven feasibility studies to which funds were allocated in January 2020 by the Western Australian government under its Renewable Hydrogen Fund.
