Project summary description:
This project aims to develop detailed performance mapping of a nominated hydrogen (short stack) fuel cell to support aircraft powertrain modelling and development.
The expected outcomes will support AMSL Aero to:
- Refine powertrain modelling and subsequently configuration
- Evaluate performance changes through simulation and ground testing
- Examine the longevity of higher-powered fuel cells for aviation
This research uses Deakin University’s Greenlight Innovation G400 fuel cell test station at the Hycel Technology Hub, located at Deakin’s Warrnambool Campus in south west Victoria.
