Project summary description:
This project will provide a detailed design for a proposed lab-scale testing facility. The facility will allow for testing of different magnetocaloric materials at cryogenic conditions and enable exploration of the impact of various operating parameters on the cooling efficacy. The design for the facility will include budget estimates for fabrication, operation, and safety practices (i.e., maintenance) for further consideration.
