The team attended a bushfire evacuation workshop at Chewton

CSIRO evacuation modelling team and representatives from RMIT University participated a bushfire evacuation workshop at Chewton, hosted by Mount Alexander Shire Council and the Country Fire Authority (CFA).

CSIRO’s Dhirendra Singh and Chaminda Bulumulla participated in an evacuation workshop hosted by Mount Alexander Shire Council and the Country Fire Authority (CFA) on the 18th July, 2022. Together with representatives from RMIT University, they engaged with key stakeholders from the Chewton community to develop a likely and credible bushfire evacuation scenario for Chewton that can be simulated using the SEEKER tool.  The modelling results will be presented to Chewton officials and community leaders for additional feedback.
