The application of the SEEKER tool was demonstrated at the AFAC22 Conference held on the 23rd of August 2022 by Dr Dhirendra Singh, Visiting Scientist at Data61.

Dr Dhirendra Singh, Associate Professor at RMIT & Visiting Scientist from the Data61 evacuation modelling group demonstrated the application of Simulations of Emergency Evacuations for Knowledge, Education and Response (SEEKER) tool in the bushfire context at the AFAC22 conference held on 23rd of August 2022 at Adelaide Convention Centre.

This presentation’s main focus was on the use of bushfire evacuation decision support systems in incident management training and how SEEKER tool was used during evacuation training exercise held at Incident Control Centre at Geelong on the 14th of December 2021. For this exercise, the SEEKER tool was used to develop multiple evacuation scenarios to evaluate the impact of emergency response.
