Adaption of biodiversity conservation in South East Queensland

December 8th, 2020

CSIRO is developing adaptation pathways for managing biodiversity under climate change with partners in South East Queensland.

CSIRO is holding workshops with its partners – Local Government Association of Queensland, local councils, and Healthy Land and Water –  examining:

  • the values different stakeholders hold for the biodiversity of South East Queensland
  • scenarios of ecological change including the impacts of extreme events
  • objectives that might be feasible under different scenarios
  • key decisions involved in changing objectives or achieving objectives
  • near-term actions that can be taken to enable future decisions and/or to lead toward desirable outcomes.
