Indigenous-led knowledge sharing guidelines

December 8th, 2020

A best practice toolbox for Indigenous peoples and partners when building new partnerships for land and sea management.

The Indigenous-led, co-produced Our Knowledge Our Way in caring for Country Guidelines showcases innovative ways in which Indigenous people, together with their partners, are working with and strengthening their knowledge to build sustainable futures on Country.

The Guidelines provide a toolbox, and identify actions, that can assist Indigenous peoples and partners (including from industry, research, government and NGOs) to adopt best practice approaches when building new partnerships and working with multiple knowledge systems for land and sea management.

CSIRO facilitated and integrated the diverse contributions of 100+ Indigenous individual and organisational co-authors, bringing knowledge, language, culture and biodiversity together. This respected an Indigenous systems approach to land and sea management, to realise positive outcomes for people and Country.
