Creating a Cooler Darwin Open Day

The Activate Darwin Hub is hosting a community open day this Saturday (27th March, 2021)  to learn about the heat mitigation strategies that have been trialled to cool the city. There will be the opportunity to learn about CSIRO’s Darwin Living Lab, an initiative of the Darwin City Deal, which is working with the Northern Territory Government and the City of Darwin to better understand approaches to cool the city.

The open day will have interactive displays of cooling strategies, expert talks and the chance for citizens scientists to measure heat in different parts of the city. There is fun for the entire family, with the Lord Mayor’s Easter Egg Hunt!
