Kylie McDevitt is a Managing Director and founder of InfoSect in Canberra, a company that provides specialised training in computer security and prides itself on performing unique research. Prior to this, Kylie worked for 12 years in the Australian Signals Directorate in many roles including as the Technical Director for Emerging Technology and Engineering. Kylie graduated from ANU with a Bachelor of Engineering and worked for Australia’s largest Telco as a radio engineer in MobileNet before moving into computer security. She has a Masters in Computer Networking as well as multiple industry certifications. Kylie is a casual lecturer at UNSW Canberra and spends her free time organising community events such as BSides Canberra and the CSides monthly security meetup.
