2020/03/13 – After due consideration and anticipating a lower than expected number of attendees due to the impact of COVID-19 on participants, the organising committee and sponsors have agreed that the Cyber Security Summer School (CSSS2020) will not be continuing as planned on 26 and 27 March 2020. CSIRO’s Data61 & DST Group

Cyber Security Summer School 2020

CSIRO’s Data61 and DST Group in collaboration with University of Queensland & CSCRC, are organising an upcoming Cyber Security Summer School to be held at Customs House Brisbane.

Over two days, this summer school will feature keynotes by international leaders in the cyber security domain, interspersed with lectures by recognised leaders in the Australian cyber ecosystem.

The summer school will emphasise a friendly environment where students can learn from local and international experts.

Topics include

  • data security
  • machine learning for cyber security
  • program analysis for cyber security
  • automated/autonomous cyber defence
  • situational awareness and mission assurance

Attendance is free, subject to invitation – Expression of interest closed 15 January, 2020

A limited amount of travel support will be available for CSIRO’s Data61 & DSTG students from outside of QLD.

Cyber Defence Next Generation Technology & Science Conference

The Cyber Defence Next Generation Technology and Science Conference, is a first of its kind scientific and technology focused Cyber Defence Conference to be held on 24 and 25 March, 2020 in Brisbane (QLD). The aim is to have the community of Cyber Security under the “Next Generation Defence Technologies | Cyber Research” program in collaboration with Data61, DST and partner universities meet together, expose relevant research activities and discuss future collaborations.
