The exploration for sediment-hosted copper is often hindered by the lack of understanding of the mineral system at play. In this project we will reconstruct the basin evolution and develop scenarios of fluid flow to aid reducing the search space for exploration.

The prospectivity for a sedimentary basin to host copper is often hindered by the lack of understanding of the mineral system at play. In this project we will provide a fundamental dataset including sedimentology and petrography to aid exploration targeting.

Cu Prospectivity – Stuart Shelf, SA

Exploration for sediment-hosted Cu is often hindered by lack of basin-wide data on structural architecture and sedimentological facies variations of prospective stratigraphic successions. In this project we will provide a fundamental dataset to aid exploration targeting.

The Box Hole Pb-Zn (MVT) deposit – Georgina Basin, NT

Historical company data provide a valuable resource for additional processing of data and data integration. The Box Hole deposit is an example of using geochemistry, lithology, structural data, and geophysics to create a 3D model.

Base Metal Potential – Amadeus Basin, NT

Mineral exploration in remote underexplored sedimentary basins is often hindered by the lack of understanding basin architecture and host-rock potential. In this project we provided an improved 3D framework for mineral exploration.

Understanding the ore formation processes of the McArthur River (HYC) Zn-Pb deposit is crucial for exploration targeting in sedimentary basins.

Sedimentology – Yeneena Basin, WA

Exploration for sediment-hosted Cu is often hindered by the lack of sedimentological understanding of host rocks and structural architecture of deformed basins.

McArthur Basin Mineral System, NT

Exploration for Zn-Pb-Ag mineral deposits in northern Australia is hindered by cover, remoteness, and complex geology. Integration of different geoscientific data is providing new information on factors and processes controlling where and how these mineral deposits form, paving the way for future discoveries.

The Jervois Cu-Pb-Zn Deposit – Arunta Region, NT

Understanding protolith rock types and timing and style of mineralisation is crucial in exploration for deformed and metamorphosed sediment-hosted base metal deposits. In the Jervois projects we developed geochemical vectors towards protolith rock types and alteration and built a 3D structural-lithological model of the deposit.

Significant advances in understanding of the formation mechanisms of ore deposits by allowing data-driven targeting for more detailed petrographic studies using Maia Mapper technology.
