Business partnership for sustainability in central highlands

December 10th, 2019

Central Highlands is the biggest perennial crop zone of Vietnam. Producing 5 out of the 13 national strategic commodities (coffee, pepper, rubber, cashews, and tea), it contributes greatly to Vietnam’s export income. However, rapid agricultural development is causing damage to the ecosystem that may ultimately reduce the value it provides to the local economy and communities.

A workshop hosted by Aus4Innovation program on November 14 was dedicated to identifying challenges for Central Highland’s agriculture, and exploring opportunities for collaboration between industries and researchers to develop sustainable, innovative solutions. Working together, businesses and researchers can ensure the Central Highlands region can find the right balance in achieving sustainable growth in the future.
