Embracing responsibilities as AI advances
Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents Vietnam with unprecedented opportunities for innovation and growth across various sectors. As we navigate this rapidly evolving technology, it is imperative to ensure that AI is harnessed for the greater good of humanity – ethically, responsibly, and in a manner that leaves no one behind.
This was the focus of the recent workshop, “Developing and Applying Responsible Artificial Intelligence: Theory and Practice,” which was held within the framework of a project supported by our #Aus4Innovation program. The project will provide insights into international experiences and recommend a set of principles and guidelines for Responsible AI, tailored to the Vietnamese context with the University of Law, Vietnam National University Hanoi as leading partner.
Speaking at the workshop, Dr Kim Wimbush, CSIRO Counsellor & Director of Aus4Innovation program shared that Australia has made significant strides in this area with the publication of an AI ethics framework in 2019 and has since become a founding member of the Global Partnership on AI. He also noted that Aus4Innovation remains committed to collaborate, share best practices, and provide the necessary support as Vietnam shapes its responsible AI landscape.
Let’s forge a path of responsible innovation, together!
