Celebrating women in innovation
International Women’s Day (8 March) celebrates the achievements of women around the globe. The Aus4Innovation program is proud to partner with remarkable women working in innovation, research, commercialisation, technology, business and policy across Vietnam.
Innovation transforms ideas into use and value. Innovation can also play an important role in creating inclusive and sustainable pathways for growth and change.
Aus4Innovation’s science commercialisation partners are exploring new ways to create positive outcomes for women, boost women’s involvement in innovation and shape inclusive technology and practices.
Highlights include:
- Integrating social (and environmental) benefits with financial targets as the foundation of the Commercialisation PLUS training and national guidance for science commercialisation
- Proactively including value chains and value chain segments dominated by women in technology transfer pilot activities; for example, novel dragon fruit products will create new markets and income in this women-oriented industry and new automated sensor technology addresses labour shortages and working conditions for mostly female shrimp processors
- Ensuring diversity and representation of women in research, business and production in training, mentoring and governance of partnership activities.
