Australia’s commitment to Responsible AI
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a unique technology that has the power to drive productivity growth. However, it also poses some challenges and risks. As a founding member of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence, Australia is very keen on fostering a responsible and trusted AI ecosystem that can ensure that AI is used for good.
In Vietnam, through the #Aus4Innovation program, Australia has launched various activities to promote practical innovative solutions using AI and support the deployment of the AI national strategy in Vietnam.
Speaking at AI4VN 2023 – Vietnam’s leading platform for AI tech, Dr Kim Wimbush, , CSIRO Counsellor & Director of the Aus4Innovation program shared Australia’s plan to promote ethical and responsible application of AI in Vietnam.
The program will be working with its strategic partner, Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology, to develop a framework of principles for responsible AI in Vietnam together with a toolkit and guidelines to help implement the principles. The plan also includes research, surveys, case studies and training workshops on responsible AI in Vietnam.
