Time 2016-Alexander-Ivakov

12:30-13:30

Venue

CSIRO Black Mountain B1 Lecture Theatre

Speaker

Dr. Alexander Ivakov, ARC Centre for Translational Photosynthesis, ANU

Dr. Alexander Ivakov started his career at ANU with a PhB (Honours) degree specialising in plant science. His Honours work with Susanne von Caemmerer explored the role of metabolism in stomatal function. He subsequently moved to Max Planck Institute for Molecular Plant Physiology in Golm, Germany to pursue a PhD about the role of plant metabolism in plant development with Mark Stitt and John Lunn. A four-year postdoc with Staffan Persson on various aspects of cell wall biology followed. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Translational Photosynthesis working with Bob Furbank on exploring natural variation in photosynthesis using high-throughput phenomics approaches.

 This is a public seminar.

No visitor pass is required for non-CSIRO attendees going to Lecture Theatre Building 1.
