We want your students to get involved in the #WithSTEMYouCan movement. Here are some ideas that can be incorporated into your lessons, at school or at home.

The task:

  1. Students write down one career they discovered on www.csiro.au/WithSTEMYouCan that they hadn’t heard about before and use it as the basis for a research project.
  2. Students research different career opportunities in the STEM field of their choice and play back their discovery to the classroom.
  3. Students explore www.csiro.au/WithSTEMYouCan and/or attend the panel discussion. Students gather in groups of five to discuss what they learnt and what they found interesting.
  4. Students choose three careers or achievements posted on www.csiro.au/WithSTEMYouCan and identify one school subject that would provide a skill or knowledge that would be required for that career / achievement.

At the end of any of these lessons, ask students to write on a piece of paper about what they learnt is possible in a STEM career or what they believe is possible for their own future STEM career, using the hashtag #WithSTEMYouCan.
