New Report – Towards a circular economy for plastics in India: A review of community, industry and public sector initiatives

A new report has been released by the Reducing Plastic Waste in India project.  The review of community, industry and public sector initiatives was undertaken as part of Year 1 activities.  The research forming the basis of this report was undertaken by the Activity focussed on Policy and Behaviour.  

Excerpt from the report.

This working paper is focused on initiatives led by communities and industry stakeholders, as well as initiatives led by government and implemented on the ground. It aims at building an understanding of initiatives that have been implemented in India to address plastic waste and support a circular economy for plastics, and to learn from them to inform subsequent programs, as well as the roadmap for a circular economy for plastics.
