Tell me about your current research interests? A Computer Science researcher, currently working to develop a unified system for assessing Automated Vehicle (Self-driving car) law-abiding behaviour. His areas of research includes Automated Vehicle, Legal Informatics, Machine Learning, Data Analysis, Knowledge representation, Natural Language Processing, and Augmented Reality. Besides that, he possesses a wide range of programming knowledge skills (Python, Java, C++, C, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, MySQL etc.) with excellent command on data structure, algorithm design and development. He offers good ability on mathematical, logical and analytical approach to address real-world issues. He has a good reputation for collaborative workability with respectful and professional behaviours and attitude.
Tell us what you are most proud of? The opportunity to work on Automated Vehicle (AV, Self-driving car), one of the most remarkable technological developments of this century is exciting and challenging for me, and I the person who loves to take challenges. I firmly believe that the unified system we are developing will be significantly useful for the technology contributor for developing the AV and also for the transport authority to understand the adequacy of the interpretation of the particular existing traffic rules. Moreover, I find this work impressively motivational as implicitly it is attempting to reduce road crashes and thus save lives.
What are your top 3 research expertise?
1. Automated Vehicle (Self-driving car).
2. Machine Learning.
3. Legal Informatics. What are your top 3 skills?
Creative Thinker, Problem Solver, Software Developer
What attracted you to apply for a scholarship with CSIRO's Data61?
The world-class research activity of CSIRO’s Data61 attracted me to apply here. I am very much happy to get the opportunity to work here.
Would you like to share any highlights?
Guidance and training of working independently.
Why do you like working with CSIRO's Data61?
Great opportunity to work with well known researchers.
What have you discovered about CSIRO’s Data61 that you did not know before you started with your PhD scholarship?
The best way to find the appropriate and optimal solution to a problem.
What are your plans after completing your PhD?
I have a clear vision of what career I would like to pursue since I earned my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering. After completing my PhD in Automation Engineering, I would like to join in the R&D sector of the automobile industry. Besides that, I also would like to continue my research work with a specialised research group.
