Welcome Mohamed

Dr Mohamed Manoufali, our new RFI engineer.

A very warm welcome to Dr Mohamed Manoufali, our new RFI engineer in the Site Entity.

Mohamed recently joined us from the Bureau of Meteorology where he was working on weather radars. He tells us one of many links between the radio telescopes he deals with now and weather radars is the fact that the radio emission from the Sun is used for calibration in weather radars!

Mohamed’s day job is now managing the activities that create radio frequency interference at the MRO and minimising the impact on the telescopes we host.

Welcome Mo!
