Ngarlbugala 2023 MWA update

Greetings from the MWA team!

The MWA team celebrates a year of growth, resilience, and shared successes. As 2023 draws to a close, we reflect on the celebrations marking the 10-year anniversary of MWA operations. We express gratitude for the unwavering dedication, support, and efforts of our operations and management team, the MWA Executive Board, and our productive and enthusiastic national and international collaborators without whom this milestone would not have been reached.

On that note, the MWA Collaboration is thrilled to officially welcome a new country into the international collaboration: Switzerland, led by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. The Swiss presence will be a valuable addition to the team of now six countries. We are looking forward achieving great things together in 2024.

The MWA Project is an initiative of the Australian Government being conducted as part of the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy and administered by Astronomy Australia Ltd (AAL). We are grateful for AAL’s ongoing support and thank them for funding commitments made to the MWA Project for financial years 2023-24.

We wish everyone a peaceful and restful holiday season. May your holidays be bright as the stars, and may the new year bring discoveries as profound as the mysteries of the cosmos. Happy Holidays!
