The Ending Plastic Waste Mission – Early -Mid Career Research Event
On the 14th February 2024, all early- and mid-career researchers who work in the Ending Plastic Waste Mission came together for the first time at CSIRO’s Clayton facility. The purpose of the event was to provide a forum to discuss the future strategic research direction of the Mission with the Mission’s Leadership team, including the Communications Manager and Business Development Manager. The event was an opportunity for everyone to meet each other, learn about each other’s research and contribute ideas for future research that combats the global issue of plastic pollution. The outcomes of the event were fed into the Mission’s leadership team annual ‘Review and Adapt” strategy session. It was a fantastic event organised by two of the Marine Debris researchers, Caroline and Kathy, as well as their fabulous colleague Donya!
