Last week, Kathy and Denise, traveled the Auckland (New Zealand) for a week filled with important discussions with key global partners: the United Nations, the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP), DCCEEW, and a fantastic group of countries, all to address one of the most urgent environmental challenges of our time - plastic pollution.

The Tasmanian Stormwater Symposium (November 2024)

The Tasmanian Stormwater Symposium was held in Hobart in November 2024. Local and interstate presenters raised issues around financing ongoing stormwater treatment device maintenance, increasing awareness of stormwater treatment, highlighting gaps in current practices and future planning for climate change.

Early November Kathy and Denise held a project closing meeting in Manila for the project "Establishing a Baseline of Marine Plastic Litter in the Philippines".

Sixth Meeting of the Working Group on Marine Litter (WGML)

Denise attended the Sixth Meeting of the Working Group on Marine Litter (WGML) of the Coordinating Body on the Seas of East Asia (COBSEA) and the Working Group on Marine and Coastal Ecosystems (WGMCE) in October (Siem Reap, Cambodia)
