Element mapping of the Merensky Reef – [publication]

The Merensky Reef in the Bushveld Complex is one of the world’s major sources of platinum. It has been intensively studied for a hundred years but new techniques are still teaching us new things. In this collaboration between CSIRO-MR and the University of Cardiff, we show how the CSIRO MAIA Mapper can be combined with other techniques to reveal fascinating new insights into these remarkable rocks.
