Livestock yield can be increased considerably

We found that for both Ethiopia and India benchmarking production against the top 10% of producers demonstrated that yields could be tripled. Milk yields (see figure) were higher in India compared to Ethiopia, although the absolute size of the yield gap expressed as kg milk/head/lactation was also larger in India.
