• The Livelihoods and Adaptive Development team develops theories and process-based methods to test ideas and solutions for dealing with regional challenges and improving resilience, addressing the root causes of vulnerability by increasing disaster preparedness and improving capacity to deal with other shocks, including markets and biosecurity.
  • We work with partners such as community organisations, local, regional and national governments, research institutions, private sector organisations, and donors in the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Our research is Participatory Action Research, with a variety of cross-sector stakeholders across multi-scales. We are socially innovative and inclusive.
  • Our work is iterative and responsive to feedback, and applies novel monitoring and evaluation techniques. With our partners, we design ways to achieve adaptive and resilient livelihoods, regions and ecosystems.
