Join us for an evening of networking with fellow members of the innovation community. Invited guest speaker is Dr Ruth Thornton.
Dr. Ruth Thornton (PhD) is a Passe and Williams Mid-Career Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia and Co-Lead of the Bacterial Respiratory Infectious Disease Group at The Kids Research Institute Australia. Her research has a focus on bacteria-host interactions in chronic and recurrent respiratory infections, including ear, nose, and throat infections and chronic lung disease. Her work aims to improve treatments and prevention strategies for chronic respiratory infections, particularly in high-risk populations with a bench to bedside approach, ensuring translation of laboratory findings into clinical practice.
