Synthetic CT via Generative AI for MR-guided Radiotherapy Planning in the Abdomen and Lungs
This Project will leverage artificial intelligence to develop and validate synthetic computed tomography (CT) from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the abdominal and lung regions. The expected outcomes are an AI-based synthetic CT model, thorough technical and clinical validation and potential patent/licensing opportunities. This may reduce unnecessary ionising radiation of CT in patients and improve treatment efficiency during radiotherapy planning.

Resilient and quantum-safe threshold cryptography
This Project will design quantum-safe threshold encryption and/or authentication algorithms. The expected outcome is the design of methods, techniques and their software prototype to implement quantum-safe threshold encryption and/or authentication algorithms. The potential benefit is to enhance the security of Australian critical infrastructures, safeguarding them against quantum attacks.

Enabling Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Migration
This Project develops techniques for the migration to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) to secure critical infrastructure from quantum attacks. The expected outcome is the design of methods, techniques and their prototype to implement trusted PQC migration. The potential benefit is to enhance the security of Australian critical infrastructures against quantum attacks

Compostable plastics
This Project aims to design and develop compostable plastics. The expected outcome is to produce new materials and compositions from sustainable sources to make plastics. This could benefit Australia to find new ways to make plastics that are sustainable and circular.
