Completing the AMC Philippines

October 27th, 2021

After a year-long journey challenged with disruptions due to COVID, the first cohort of AMC Philippines have graduated, with the added benefit of being recognised as ACIAR Alumni.

Over the last 12 months, participants completed three modules designed to boost their knowledge and practical skills in addressing agribusiness and value chain challenges. The first two modules were held face to face, with the third module held online over a three month period from July to September 2020. The final module, initially intended to focus on developing and evaluating value chain strategies, was reoriented to focus on assessing and addressing COVID disruptions along agri-food value chains.

In a call to action session with guest speakers Australian Ambassador to the Philippines, His Excellency Steven Robinson,; Professor Andrew Campbell, ACIAR chief executive officer (CEO); Dr. Howard Hall, ACIAR Agribusiness Research Program Manager, and Dr. Reynaldo V. Ebora, Executive Director of DOST-PCAARRD, participants were encouraged to put their new skills in practice.
