Maia was invented to handle high X-ray fluxes on synchrotron beamlines, with access granted through science merit proposals. New developments in laboratory-scale X-ray source technology with more stable and intense X-ray beams allowed us to make Maia available 24/7 in the lab – Maia Mapper was born.
