The team attended an evacuation workshop hosted by Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES)

CSIRO's evacuation modelling team attended this workshop on June 15th, 2022, together with the representatives from a number of government agencies such as the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and the Queensland State Emergency Service (SES). CSIRO's team offered insights into a potential evacuation scenario using the SEEKER tool.

QFES hosted an evacuation workshop in Brisbane  on June 15th, 2022. Representatives from various government agencies such as the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR),  the Queensland State Emergency Service (SES), the National Recovery and Resilience Agency (NRRA), Geoscience Australia,  and CSIRO participated in this event.  CSIRO’s Vincent Lemiale, Dhirendra Singh and Chaminda Bulumulla attended the workshop to offer insights related to a potential evacuation using the SEEKER tool.
