Our final day onboard the RV Investigator was our busiest yet. We were up before sunrise on location for our first multicore off Maria Island.
James is Second Mate on board the RV Investigator, and has been working in this position since 2015.
Today we have hit some bad weather as we start to make our way back towards the coast and into Bass Straight. We currently have a 4 -5 metre swell, with 30knot winds, producing wind chop on top of the swell.
Today’s focus has been on locating and surveying shipwrecks off the NSW coast; using the RV Investigator’s Multibeam.
I teach a range of different subjects to years 11 and 12 at Rosny College in Tasmania.
