Introducing Jane Ellem

Jane is an educator from Caulfield Grammar School in Victoria.

What is your teaching focus?

I am a Learning Technologies Coach. I develop, explore and embed technologies for the teaching and learning programs across our school.

What inspired you to apply for the Educator on Board program?

I remember meeting a scientist from the CSIRO when I was at school and how it changed how I viewed the world, in particular the ocean.

This passion for the ocean hasn’t waned and I hope, through this program, to inspire another generation of students to be curious about their world through the lens of science.

What are you most looking forward to seeing aboard the vessel?

Authentic interactions with contemporary scientific research and translating this into learning opportunities for students.
