Australian Trade and Environment Model (ATEM)

The Australian Trade and Environment Model is a computable general equilibrium macroeconomic model. It has a comprehensive representation of the Australian economy accounting for economic transactions and factor markets across various agents. 

The macroeconomic effects of COVID-19 vaccinations in five Asian countries

This study quantifies the economic benefits of COVID-19 vaccination in five key Asian economies, revealing net GDP increases from 0.16% (India) to 1.1% (South Korea) based on vaccination coverage. The analysis, utilizing a dynamic multi-country general equilibrium model, underscores the substantial direct and indirect economic gains of vaccination.

Are intermediate inputs really fixed?

The study challenges fixed input-output assumptions in economic models, using Australian data to show input substitution's impact on forecasts, particularly with energy prices. It advocates for models to include variable input relationships for accuracy.
