Developing and solving forward models

A physical understanding of geological processes is critical for mineral exploration and other aspects of mineral resources. The multi-scale and multi-physics nature of those processes requires the development of specific models, along with efficient and stable numerical tools to solve them. This is particularly needed to capture adequately the challenging behaviours responsible for localisation and geological instabilities.
