Launch of on-line learning course for knowledge brokers

October 8th, 2021

As part of the Australia Pacific Climate Partnership’s Knowledge Broker Support Program (KBSP), which is being led by CSIRO, Michaela Cosijn coordinated the launch of an on-line learning course for knowledge brokers. The program aims to support participants build brokering skills to act as agents of change, mainstreaming climate change and future risk into decision-making using tools that have been co-developed by CSIRO and regional partners. The program involved weekly on-line sessions and an online e-learning platform. The Australian Council for International Development (ACFID), an umbrella association for Australian NGOs, is hosting the platform. An upcoming second phase will commence in late January 2022.  The platform will also be hosted by the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) based in Samoa in this phase.
